WILLIE J HEALEY RELEASES NEW ALBUM ‘BUNNY’ AND REACHES TOP FIVE ALBUM MILESTONE
The much-anticipated new album ‘Bunny’ by Willie J Healey was released on YALA! Records on August the 25th and reached number 5 in the album charts. Bunny is Healey’s third album (second with YALA!) and is a uniquely brilliant fusion of Philly soul, rock and R&B featuring four BBC 6 Music playlisted singles – Dreams, Thank You (featuring Jamie T), Little Sister and Woke Up Smiling.
Bunny is produced by Loren Humphrey (Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey) and takes inspiration from Sly and The Family Stone’s boundary-breaking Fresh era. Willie blends Beck and Outkast with his love of David Bowie’s relatively unknown The Gouster – a funky album of the Thin White Duke.
“I’m very proud to finally be sharing Bunny with you all. I met the most amazing people while making the album in New York and I’d like to thank them all for the magic they contributed. I hope everyone is able to find something in this album that makes them feel happy and seen. Lots of love, Willie.”
