SET IN STONE RELEASE ‘I’LL DO IT ALONE’ EP
‘I’ll Do It Alone’ is Set in Stone’s latest EP set for release on 12/05/23, following their gritty, blunt self-titled single. This project showcases a more intimate, melancholic side of the band, led by an all new independent attitude after the departure of two members. It features dreamy acoustic guitar progressions, gripping electric guitar solos and strings. Frontman Jamie Watts recorded all the instruments at Ranch Productions, Hampshire, and Louise Sawdy mixed and mastered them. In spite of setbacks, Set in Stone continues to show their versatility and skill set in this EP. ‘I’ll Do It Alone’ is an endearingly nostalgic listen that has recently been unearthed.
A South Coast Bournemouth-based Indie Rock band, Set in Stone are inspired by past Brit-Pop sounds and determined to leave their mark on the industry. Jamie Watts, the singer, formed the band in his bedroom with some friends, trying their best to replicate Ian Brown’s Stone Roses sound and Oasis’ Liam & Noel’s sound. Within a short period of time, Set in Stone had written their own songs and practiced at least twice a week for what felt like an eternity before securing their first gig. From this, the group built up an extensive discography which gave them impressive opportunities to perform at prestigious festivals such as Teddy Rocks and Isle Of White Festival competition ‘New Blood’. A major achievement for Set in Stone to date has been recording with Chris Taylor at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, the iconic Liverpool recording studio. Currently, they have three releases out on streaming platforms. The band is still in the blossoming stages of their career, but already has the desire and eagerness for success to rival their outstanding potential – a suitable contender for the forefront of future Indie Rock.
