THE ROLLING PEOPLE RELEASE BOLD NEW SINGLE ‘THE THIEF’

SINGLE REVIEW | THE ROLLING PEOPLE – THE THIEF by Robert McAlaney

The Thief‘ is a glass shattering anthem, packing a bold statement of justice against the political hierarchy that could not have come at a better time. With echoes of rebellion and the lust for change The Rolling People masterfully encapsulate the sentiment of disillusioned youth through their latest single.

Hailing from Stockport, The Rolling People are a dynamic quartet fronted by the sonic
prodigy that is 18 year old Charlie McNichol, the band is on a journey to see fit the revival of rock. The Rolling People (TRP) sold out their debut headline UK tour in 2023 and quickly gained a reputation for ‘energised performances, and feral crowds to match’. With numerous appearances across the country TRP have gained significant traction to deserve the title of the indie scenes next must see act.

The Rolling People’s latest single ‘The Thief‘ is a canorous eruption of angst. Each strum of the guitar are bolts of lightning which clash with thunderous strikes of the drum kit, when
combined with McNichol’s high-octane vocals a melody best paired with anarchy is born.
The Thief‘ makes you want to belt out its lyrics and dance in the face of corruption, the joy of defiance is beautifully illustrated by The Rolling People.

Look out for the band’s debut EP launching later this year as well as their Isle Of White
festival slot, but in the meantime open your windows and crank your speakers up to the max and unapologetically play ‘The Thief‘ by The Rolling People.
