CONNECT FESTIVAL PRESENTS 30 YEARS OF SCREAMADELICA

Celebrating over 30 years of their groundbreaking 1991 album Screamadelica, Primal Scream are due to bring ultimate nostalgia when they headline the biggest Edinburgh music festival Connect on Friday (25th August).

The music and wellbeing festival will return for a second year at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Showgrounds with acts such as Franz Ferdinand, Raye, Young Father’s, Boygenius, Fred Again and Lightening Seeds taking the spotlight over the three day event.

Presented by DF Concerts, the Royal Highland Showground event will take place over 25th, 26th and 27th August and promise to offer festival goers the ultimate chill zone. Not only will there be four different music stages on offer, there will be relaxation spaces offering massage, mediation and even soul water sauna.

If the music line up doesn’t quite catch you then the Connect Festival Speakeasy stage may be the place for you. Offering a variety of spoken word and comedy acts across the weekend, Speakeasy welcomes acts such as Susan Riddell, Hal Cruttenden and Britain’s Got Talent winner Lost Voice Guy.

Grand parade & More

With four music stages to pick from over the festival weekend, there ought to be something for everybody. The Grand Parade stage will host the biggest names such as Franz Ferdinand, Primal Scream, Young Father’s, Fred Again, Rate and boygenius. Guitars and Other Things stage is proving the place to be with Ethan P. Flynn, Jockstrap and Confidence Man on Friday alone. If dance and chilled vibes are your thing then get on down to Unknown Pleasures stage which will bring the weekend beats to life.

The most exciting stage this weekend is ought to be Gardeners Cottage which comes sponsored by local Mental Health Charity Tiny Changes. The smallest of the music stages but hosting the biggest new names starting out. Flynn Brodie, Becky Sikasa, Bemz, Quiet Houses and Theo Bleak will all make up the new Gardeners Cottage Stage line up.
