CRYSTAL TIDES TO JOIN LOTTERY WINNERS AT DE LA WARR PAVILION ON MAY 23rd

2025 has seen Lottery Winners grow dramatically in stature as their current album ‘KOKO’ became their second #1 smash on the UK’s Official Album Chart. And there are more big things on the agenda this summer, including a stadium tour as guests to Robbie Williams and a host of top tier festival sets. Now Lottery Winners are set to play an intimate show at the De La Warr Pavilion on May 23rd to raise funds for the SupaJam Foundation.

The SupaJam Foundation is on a mission to inspire and empower young people aged 15-26 by helping them overcome the barriers they face in accessing education and pursuing careers in the music industry. They believe every young person has the potential to overcome obstacles and create their own path to success, especially within the music industry. By offering a unique blend of music therapy, counselling, mentoring, and transformative experiences, the SupaJam Foundation supports participants in unlocking their full potential, both personally and professionally.

Their philosophy is one that Lottery Winners’ frontman Thomas Rylance has first-hand personal experience with. Growing up with ADHD meant that he struggled at school and no-one believed in him or had any real plan that could help him – aside from his music teacher, Mr Asbury, who gave him a guitar and encouraged him to play in bands. Without him, Thom would’ve never become the man he is today: proving that a mentor is more valuable than any lottery win.

The pair’s relationship has become ever more poignant in recent years. An emotional Thomas paid tribute to Mr Asbury when he spotted him in the audience at a Lottery Winners gig in Tyldesley shortly after the release of their ‘Anxiety Replacement Therapy’ album in 2023. And emotions ran high late last year, when Mr Asbury surprised Thomas by walking on stage at their gig in Manchester to present the band with their first ever Gold disc.

Thomas Rylance says, “SupaJam are doing great things, supporting the youth when they need it most. We are very happy to be part of the fundraising effort. Get down to the show and help make a difference in these young lives!”

SupaJam Foundation CEO Rebecca Bates adds, To have The Lottery Winners agree to support the SupaJam Foundation is just mind blowing. Music has been so important throughout the lives of these young people and with the involvement of the band we can truly show them that it’s ok to be different. To feel different. In fact it’s actually a super power that will aid their creativity and fuel their drive to succeed.”

The show also features special guests Crystal Tides. The Portsmouth-based band have been compared to the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Foals and The Wombats, an uplifting, high-energy sound that they captured on last year’s EP ‘The Middle’. Crystal Tides are already hitting bigger stages, with a headline show at London’s Electric Ballroom confirmed for 2026

Crystal Tides vocalist Billy Gregory comments, “Music is a powerful force that shapes lives, and we believe it should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we were proud to support this incredible charity event in aid of the SupaJam Foundation. The Foundation does vital work helping young people – many facing significant challenges – not only break into the music industry but also continue their education in a meaningful way. It’s an inspiring cause, and we’re honoured to be part of something that makes such a lasting impact.”

The event will be hosted by Radio X DJ John Kennedy. It is presented in collaboration with new music champions This Feeling (Lottery Winners will also headline their This Feeling By The Sea festival at Bridlington Spa on August 29th) and the local independent brewery Lakedown Brewing Co., which is run by the family of The Who legend Roger Daltrey.

This Feeling, The SupaJam Foundation, Black Deer Festival, Lakedown Brewing Co. and the De La Warr Pavilion are working together in Sussex to help young people develop careers in the music industry.
