Paris Paloma Shines Bright at Sold-Out O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire

LIVE REVIEW | PARIS PALOMA | LONDON O2 SHEPHERDS BUSH EMPIRE 6th June 2025
On Friday night, Paris Paloma commanded the stage at a sold-out Shepherd’s Bush Empire, delivering a performance that was both deeply honest and captivatingly powerful. Opening with the haunting “my mind (now)”, she immediately drew the crowd into her world—a place where vulnerability and strength coexist effortlessly. Her voice shifted seamlessly between soft intimacy and bold intensity, holding the audience rapt throughout.
What truly stood out was the genuine joy Paloma radiated on stage. That happiness was infectious, reflected in the smiles and engagement of the crowd (or was it the other way round?)
Her silky, flowing dress caught the stage lights with every movement, lending her presence an almost dreamlike quality. Her graceful stagecraft added another layer to the show’s delicate yet intense atmosphere.
The set unfolded like a personal narrative, with tracks like “drywall” “as good a reason,” and “knitting song” landing with emotional weight. The audience sang along with familiarity and devotion, as if these songs had been theirs for years. A surreal moment came when Dame Emma Thompson was spotted dancing in the balcony, fully immersed in the night’s magic.
Paloma’s fairy-grunge aesthetic—soft lace paired with earthy tones—enhanced the dreamy vibe. “triassic love song” blossomed into a communal sing-along, uniting the crowd. Closing with the powerful “labour”, Paloma left the stage to thunderous applause.
