‘EVERYTHING EVERYTHING’ RARING TO GO ON SELL OUT UK TOUR
THE ‘MOUNTAINHEAD’ HEADLINE DATES KICK OFF IN GLASGOW
Earlier this month art-pop innovators Everything Everything unveiled their brand-new album ‘Mountainhead’. Receiving both critical acclaim and TOP 10 Official Chart position, the Manchester bands latest effort has gone down as one of their best yet.
‘Astounding. A special record from a special band’ – RECORD COLLECTOR ★★★★★
‘’Their unparalleled ability to create albums that are both sonically thrilling and deeply intelligent is reinforced with this release’’ – DORK ★★★★
‘’Engaging the head, the heart and the feet isn’t as easy as it sounds, although EE make it seem just that’’ – THE TIMES
‘The most weirdly moving band in British indie.’ – THE GUARDIAN
‘Mountainhead’ is an album experience that presents an abundance of sonic and conceptual ambition. Its theme is a metaphor for contemporary existence: workers based in the pit of the mountain strive to dig an ever-expanding hole to achieve perpetual growth for the elite at its peak, yet the taller the mountain the deeper the hole. It’s a narrative that vocalist Jonathan Higgs unravels throughout the record, with equal levels of devilishly black humour and wry observations.
OUT NOW you can stream and buy ‘Mountainhead’ HERE. The band’s official store offers a selection of physical formats including heavyweight black vinyl and pleasant land green vinyl, while a selection of album bundles add a signed lyric sheet.
Celebrating the release Everything Everything hosted an array of special ‘outstore’ events up and down the country and this week they are raring to get back to their fans with the official SOLD OUT UK headline tour. Kicking off in Glasgow tomorrow (26/03) the band will end the week with two back to back nights at Manchester’s New Century Hall. Continuing into next week, Everything Everything will continue to move throughout the country and end in Bristol on April 6th. Following the UK tour dates, the band will join The Vaccines for a co-headline tour ‘down-under’ in Australia in May.
