YOUR NEW FAVOURITE BAND? PLASTICINE HIT THE ROAD THIS WEEK
THE GLASGOW BAND WILL PLAY LONDON, MANCHESTER BEFORE A HOMECOMING AT KING TUTS
Set to hit the road this week are Glasgow band, Plasticine. Dreaming to ‘redefine rock n’ roll as we know it’, the magnetic four piece combine character from grunge, indie, pop and punk to create their own unique soundscape.
Led by the mesmeric frontwoman Summer Skye, Plasticine are completed by brothers, Connah and Bob O’Reilly-Mclean on bass and guitar and cementing the quartet line-up is Ross Howarth on drums.
Releasing their debut single, ‘Do Bad Boys Go To Heaven’ in December 2022, 2023 witnessed inspiring growth for the Glasgow band. Supporting the likes Don Broco at the infamous Barrowland Ballroom, California band Mom Jeans across the city at SWG3 and fellow Glasweigen’s Declan Welsh and The Decadent West. 2024 is set to be even bigger with the quartet being added to the stellar TRNSMT line-up this summer and just last week they were invited along for a live session at BBC Radio Scotland. This week though, Plasticine head on a mini-tour starting in London at Signature Brew Hagerstown (April 17th) before heading back north, stopping in Manchester at The Castle Hotel (April 18th) before their biggest headline show to date back on home turf at Glasgow’s King Tuts on Saturday (20th April).
Promising new music within the next few months, Plasticine are only going to continue their upwards trajectory. Catch them now while you can, they may even be your new favourite band.
