LIVERPOOL’S SOUND CITY RETURNS FOR IT’S 14th YEAR
THE SNUTS, CAITY BASER AND RED RUM CLUB AMONGST HEADLINERS FOR THE MULTI-VENUE FESTIVAL
With only two weeks to go, festival season will be kicking off over the May bank holiday with the UK’s leading independent festival, Liverpool Sound City. The festival returns for its 14th year on May 4th and May 5th and it’s held in various venues around the city such as; Zanzibar, The Jacaranda, The Shipping Forecast, Spanish Caravan, Teddy’s, The Arts Club and Heebie Jeebies.
With just a few weeks away, the festival has just announced another wave of acts joining the line-up including Red Rum Club as the Saturday afternoon headliner. Other new acts include; Deco, Olivia Lunny, Reignmaker and Gen and The Degenerates.
Headlining Saturday night is Southern pop singer-songwriter Caity Baser who will be finishing off her ‘Still Learning’ tour in London on Friday. Sound City will be the first of her festivals this year, she’ll also be making an appearance at Highest Point, Derby Summer Sessions and TRNSMT.
Scottish indie rockers, The Snuts, will be closing out the festival as the Sunday headliner just weeks before they head out to Australia and Japan for their Millennials tour.
Also in the line-up are some of the hottest upcoming acts in independent northern venues such as; Keyside, Shefu, East Exchange, Seb Lowe, Alex Spencer and The Kairos.
