ALTER BRIDGE DELIVER “SOMETHING SPECIAL” TO DUNFERMLINE’S ALHAMBRA THEATRE
Alter Bridge (Alannah Stirling/Northern Exposure)
LIVE REVIEW | ALTERBRIDGE w/ Overgrown | ALHAMBRA THEATRE, DUNFERMLINE | 24th May 2026 by Alannah Stirling
Alter Bridge’s performance at Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre was definitely a night to remember. Not only was it Scotland’s final game in The World Cup to make it through to knock out’s, it was probably one of the hottest days Scotland has ever had, so you can imagine the heat circulating an intimate venue full of rock fans that were packed in like sardines to watch their favourite band.
Kicking off the night was Overgrown, a four piece band from Berwick Upon Tweed. The crowd seemed to be fans as they showed the lads appreciation in their cheers of encouragement. Their sound was very grunge with strong vocals and although they didn’t have much energy on stage they were a good opening act for the night.
It was time for Alter Bridge to take to the stage and by this point the room was overflowing out the doors into the foyer. From playing in arena sized venues to this smaller more intimate venue was quite special, and instead of trying to replicate an arena show and production the band embraced the intimacy of Alhambra Theatre. They delivered an incredible performance full of strong vocals and insane guitar solos. Alter Bridge’s performance was a reminder of why live music matters, transforming the historic venue into a cathedral of soaring melodies, crushing riffs and genuine emotion.
Wasting no time, the band got straight into one of their newest releases ‘Silent Divide’ before powering through a mixed set from their self titled album that was released this year including ‘Disregarded’ and fan favourites such as ‘Addicted To Pain‘, ‘Metalingus‘ and ‘Isolation’. The packed theatre responded with thunderous applause and singalongs that echoed around the room all night, continuing to be on top form with a few of Scotland’s favourite chant “Here We F*cking Go” throughout the night.

Frontman Myles Kennedy demonstrated why he remains one of rock’s finest vocalists. His range was effortlessly impressive alongside Mark Tremonti’s equally captivating precision guitar work and blistering solos and his trademark backing vocals. Together, their chemistry remains one of the defining features of Alter Bridge’s live shows. Not forgetting Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips’ rhythm section providing the perfect foundation, driving every song with power and precision.
This gig was one of those unique gigs that reminded their fans of just how great they are regardless of all the production that comes with playing arenas. All they need is a stage, their vocals and their instruments. Everyone fortunate enough to be in Alhambra Theatre witnessing this performance left knowing they had experienced something special for sure.
