As One in the Park 2025 – Big Beats, Big Queer Joy
Walpole Park, West London — Still fresh on the scene but already making serious noise, As One in the Park returned for 2025 with more attitude, more colour, and even more love. For a festival still in its early years, it’s growing fast — and with good reason. This wasn’t just another day in the park. It was a full-blown celebration of identity, community, and no-holds-barred euphoria.
From the jump, the energy was up. No warm-up needed. Fat Tony got the crowd bouncing with a set that felt more underground than outdoor. Melvo Baptiste kept it sleek and soulful, while ABSOLUTE. didn’t just play — he detonated the dance tent with a set so tight it could split concrete.
The live stage was a total flex. Danny Beard brought pure cabaret punk, all heart and chaos. Tayce owned the runway-turned-stage with sass turned all the way up, and La Voix gave us powerhouse vocals that shut everything else down. The crowd? All in. Loud, proud, and fully locked in from start to finish.
But the real magic of As One is its people. It’s a space that feels safe but never tame, welcoming but wild. First-timers in face glitter, seasoned ravers in sequins, friends reunited and strangers dancing together like it’s the last night on Earth. The vibe was unity. No cool kids’ club, just open arms.
Everything worked. The layout, the sound, the food, even the staff — all tuned in to what the crowd needed. There’s a slickness behind the scenes, but it never feels corporate. This is a festival built by and for the community it serves.
And when the music faded from the park, the official Fire Vauxhall afterparty carried the torch into the early hours. If you know, you know.
As One 2025 proved it’s not just here to stay — it’s here to take over. Every year it’s getting louder, bolder, and more essential. It’s not about big budgets or flashy gimmicks — it’s about heart, sweat, and being unapologetically yourself. This is what festivals are meant to be.
Long live As One.
