ATEEZ BRING ARENA ENERGY TO BST HYDE PARK

Following a week of record-breaking heat in London, cooler temperatures arrived just in time for ATEEZ’s long-awaited BST Hyde Park headline performance at the end of June. Thousands gathered around the Great Oak Stage, where a sea of ATINY and deafening fan chants welcomed the group’s eight members for one of the festival’s most anticipated nights.
Making history as the third K-pop group to headline BST Hyde Park, ATEEZ arrived on the London stage fresh off their tour across Australia and Asia. The group was far from strangers to UK audiences, having returned to London for multiple sold-out arena shows over the past few years, including two nights at The O2 Arena in 2025. While the group has built an enormous and devoted international fanbase over the years, a festival audience still presents a different challenge from an arena packed with existing fans. However, Sunday’s headline performance proved they were more than ready to win over the London crowd.
Support throughout the day came from a brilliant lineup showcasing a range of global pop and K-pop. Four-piece boy band Midnight Til Morning kicked off the day, followed by South Korean soloist TAEMIN, whose dynamic choreography and beautiful vocals set the tone for the electrifying celebration of K-pop. BRIT Award-winning trio FLO brought their stunning contemporary R&B sound to Hyde Park, while American singer-songwriter Bazzi was the final opener before ATEEZ took to the stage, connecting with the crowd through lighthearted interactions and performing some of his biggest hits, including ‘Mine’, ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Paradise’.
As the clock struck 8.30pm, the eight members of ATEEZ took the stage in matching white outfits. ATEEZ launched straight into ‘Bouncy’ and ignited the crowd. Although the entire day had been spent queueing and standing in the summer heat, the fatigue hanging in the air evaporated as tens of thousands began bouncing on their feet, their screams could be heard miles away. Undoubtedly one of ATEEZ’s defining songs, ‘Bouncy’ was the perfect opener, immediately showcasing the group’s explosive energy as well as their hard-hitting, dramatic sound. The momentum continued with ‘Say My Name’, as ATEEZ reached back into their catalogue for one of the group’s defining early classics. Its cinematic production served as a reminder of the musical identity that first set the group apart.
Immediately transitioning into ‘Work’, the members broke away from the main stage and made full use of the catwalk, walking closer to and interacting with fans along the front barricade.
Taking a small break after the first three songs, the members introduced themselves to the Hyde Park crowd. “It’s so good to see you, or hear you!” shouted Hongjoong. “Let’s have some fun tonight.”
“We’ve got an amazing show prepared for you tonight,” added Yunho. “Let’s make it a great night together.”
The group maintained that momentum throughout the night, moving seamlessly between explosive performances and brighter tracks. Fan favourites including ‘Lemon Drop’, ‘NASA’, ‘Ice On My Teeth’, and ‘Wave’ truly showcased ATEEZ’s versatility.
“I see so many people here from different languages and different backgrounds, and they are enjoying the music together,” Yeosang said. “I like that.”
One of the most memorable moments was no doubt when the group performed ‘BAD’, as it received its first ever live festival performance just two days after its release. Slightly different from their previous catalogue, the song incorporates Brazilian funk influences while maintaining ATEEZ’s signature intensity. Although the song was fresh off its release, the members performed it with a confidence and precision that reflected countless hours of preparation. In return, the crowd did not disappoint, with fan chants and lyrics screamed right back at the members.
As the night came to a close, fireworks burst into the fading pink sky during ‘불놀이야 (I’m The One)’, creating one of the night’s most memorable moments. With ‘Guerrilla’ and ‘멋 The Real’, ATEEZ brought the evening to a spectacular close, the stage engulfed in pyro as tens of thousands of fans sang along.
ATEEZ’s headline show at BST Hyde Park marked another milestone in the group’s international journey. With their powerful energy and genuine connection with the audience, they transformed the Hyde Park stage into an experience that felt every bit like one of their own sold-out arena concerts. It is safe to say even bigger stages are on the horizon.
