Travelling all the way to Glasgow from Manchester for TRNSMT Festival were Seb Lowe. Fronted by Oldham born Seb Lowe himself, the band include Joel Goodwin on drums, Kate Couriel with the strings (violin), Ben Etches on guitar and Sam Sumner playing bass.

Gaining momentum virally through platforms such as tiktok during the pandemic, Seb developed his skills poetically and musically before emerging as fresh exciting face on the thriving Manchester music scene. Taking inspiration of the toxic political landscape from across the world, Seb has a refreshingly articulate approach to his songwriting and stands as potentially being one of the finest word smiths of his generation.

For years now, Seb Lowe has continued to raise their profile. Frequently drip feeding new music across platforms, their latest release ‘5168 Days‘ was released on Election Day. Their busy tour schedule has taken the band across the UK with many bucket list moments being ticked off already. Supporting the likes of Blossoms and Inhaler in the past then just last month they played Glastonbury too. That stellar reputation is what has ultimately brought me to the King Tuts stage at this years TRNSMT keen to check out the band of the moment myself, and I was not disappointed.

Following their performance; Seb, Kate, Joel and Ben joined us in the press tent for chat. Talking about tour life, new music, Glasgow and, of course, the General Election.
