Pepsi MAX presents TRNSMT has today announced 16 incredible breakthrough acts, set to play on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glasgow Green this June.
Now in its second year, the stage champions fresh talent, providing a platform for rising stars and giving music fans the opportunity to discover the next generation of festival favourites.
Friday
Beth McCarthy will showcase her fearless alternative pop and emotionally raw songwriting, expect tunes like ‘She’s Pretty‘ and ‘Good Bi‘. Adding Scottish flair, SOAPBOX bring their explosive, punk-driven sound, from their EPs Hawd That and Lock In.
Joining the lineup are Arkayla, a Manc indie band, who arrive off the back of a sold-out UK tour, including a date at Glasgow’s The Garage in May. Their anticipated live shows follow on from the release of their 2025 EP, Don’t Look For Answers.
Two further additions are Girl In The Year Above, an emerging Irish/Cornish indie-alternative band and rising soul singer James Emmanuel, who brings his warm, moving vocals to TRNSMT. James has gone from busking on the streets of Edinburgh to playing the Royal Albert Hall, and his Glasgow Green appearance comes on the back of the release of his acclaimed EP A Time to Heal.
Glasgow four-piece Mercy Girl bring a brooding blend of darkwave, EBM and electropop, the fast-rising band are in the midst of a European spring tour and the finale is a homecoming show at Glasgow’s G2 venue. They will be playing alongside Alice Faye, known for her distinctive retro-pop sound and the winner of the hotly contested BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year competition which was announced last month.
Saturday
Australian band Radio Free Alice are set to unleash their post-punk sound from down under after notching more than five million streams on breakout track ‘Look What You’ve Done‘. They are also joined by rock-and-rollers Basht, currently in the midst of a European tour.
Emerging Glasgow group Tanzana, known for their gothic-tinged dark dream pop, will take to the stage, while Lacuna offer-up tenderly mixed hushed folk songwriting with atmospheric guitars.
Bratty-rockers Sister Madds are also confirmed, following a headline show at King Tut’s this month.
Sunday
Scottish Music Awards Breakthrough Artist winner Shay O’Dowd joins the billing, making his TRNSMT debut following a huge 2025 that included two sold-out hometown nights at King Tut’s and Saint Luke’s and the release of two EPs. Elle Coves, who has toured with headliner Lewis Capaldi, brings her atmospheric melodies to the stage. She will also perform at King Tut’s this May, the same month her anticipated debut single ‘Before I Fall Apart‘ drops.
Indie-pop singer songwriter Ellur (Ella McNamara), hot on the heels of her critically acclaimed debut album, At Home In My Mind joins the Sunday bill, along with Galway folk singer Jamie McIntyre, who previously worked as a teacher before one of his songs went viral on TikTok. He draws inspiration from fellow Irish acts and former King Tut’s performers, Amble and Kingfishr.
Abbie Gordon, who is quickly developing a reputation for carving ultra-catchy pop songs, hand-picked to support Calum Bowie at Glasgow Barrowland last December will open the stage on Sunday.

Geoff Ellis, Festival Director of TRNSMT said:
“The BBC Introducing Stage is a key part of the fabric of TRNSMT, giving emerging artists the opportunity to perform in front of discerning music fans while offering festivalgoers the chance to discover artists early in their careers.“TRNSMT has a track record of supporting the next generation, from Lewis Capaldi and Gerry Cinnamon to The Snuts, who have risen through the stages after playing some of their first ever festival gigs on Glasgow Green.
