This weekend, Birkenhead are set to host Beats Beyond Borders, a Merseyside Music Festival for Refugee Week.

Taking place at Birkenhead’s Future Yard on Sunday 22nd June, organisers have assembled an incredible lineup of artists, poets, and activists from the area, all of whom are generously donating their time to support this initiative.

A proactive response deliver a more tangible impact, Beats Beyond Borders aim to both raise funds and shine a light on pressing issues such as the ongoing conflicts in Palestine, Sudan, and Yemen. All profits from ticket sales will be directed to Medical Aid for Palestinians, Heart 4 Refugees in Birkenhead, Save the Children Sudan, and Save the Children Yemen.

Priced “pay what you feel” with a suggest donation on just £12, Beats Beyond Borders lineup will feature talented acts such as Ellis Murphy, DBA!, The Balla, Credits, Tender Claws, Jessica Dives and France, You’re On Your Own plus additional artists yet to be announced. The event will also showcase spoken word performances from voices like Amina Atiq, Poems by Em and Chantelle Lunt, making this event a powerful platform for change.
