BELLE AND SEBASTIAN SET FOR TWO DAY GLASGOW TAKE OVER

Seminal Scottish indie-pop group Belle and Sebastian will head to SWG3 Galvanizers Yard on Friday 2 August, and Saturday 3 August 2024, for ‘The Glasgow Weekender’.

Taking place across two dates, The Glasgow Weekender will serve to be a night to remember as the iconic band are joined by a variety of class acts each night. On Friday, Belle & Sebastian will be joined in stage by The Joy Hotel, Camera Obscura, Butcher Boy, The Tenementals and Mary in The Junkyard.

Saturday’s events are set to kick off much earlier with a festival style set up which will welcome Callum Easter, The Parsonage, Monica Queen, Drug Store Romeo, The Joy Hotel (again), The Vaselines, Bis and CMAT ahead of its headliner.

With their lushly orchestrated chamber pop tunes built on unabashedly twee sentiments, Belle and Sebastian’s ‘Glasgow Weekender’ is the place to be next week. So much more than just a concert, it will be a full festival experience, spread across a variety of spaces with street food, DJs and much more.
