BIG SPECIAL ANNOUNCE ONE OFF HOMETOWN SHOW FOR HOMELESS CHARITY ALSO GUESTS OF SLEAFORD MODS

In a one-off show, BIG SPECIAL will be raising money for homelessness charity Change Into Action while launching their new single ‘TREES’. BIG SPECIAL hopes to raise enough funds to help Change Into Action make a real difference in the community.

The Fountain pub in Walsall, a venue known for its welcoming community-minded attitude and commitment to showcasing emerging art in the area, will host a special hometown show on 5th December featuring Joe Hicklin (vocals) and Callum Moloney (drums). Furthermore, BIG SPECIAL has arranged for 75 six-foot Fraser fir Christmas trees to be available completely free of charge, as well – no questions asked – to those in need who give a donation. All proceeds will be donated to Change Into Action, a Midlands-based charity supporting street teams and charities working to change homeless lives.

Similarly, The Fountain’s values are aligned with those of BIG SPECIAL, whose recent singles have highlighted the issues blighting small towns and tearing communities apart.

In addition, Joe Hicklin explains that there is a personal connection as well:

“I used to work at The Fountain. It’s where I met our manager Steve whilst pulling him pints of cider. Scarlette, John and Jackie; the family that run the pub are the nicest people I’ve ever worked for, they have always did what they can for the community and people in need, as well as always providing a space for art and creativity in a place where that is quite rare. We are excited to be back playing the fountain and raising some money for local people in need.”

BIG SPECIAL will continue their live touring through November as special guest support for Sleaford Mods before embarking on a headline tour of the UK in December. The London and Birmingham dates are sold out. Tickets are available here.
