CHARITIES INVITED TO BENEFIT FROM NORTH WEST MUSIC FESTIVAL
Charities are being invited to nominate themselves to be an official partner of Lancashire’s largest live music event.
TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival returns for five nights from Wednesday July 03 to Sunday July 07 and is expected to attract more than 100,000 people.
And now charities from across the region are being encouraged to apply to benefit from the event which will see headliner shows from Irish singer-songwriter Hozier (Weds July 03), global superstar Shania Twain (Thurs 04), Manchester guitar heroes Courteeners (Fri July 05), pop greats Madness (Sat July 06) andindie legends James (Sun July 07)
Every year, each night of TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival is partnered with a charity. That charity is then given the opportunity to have a team of fundraisers on site collecting monetary donations.
Last year generous music fans donated more than £19,000 and since its inception in 2010 charity partners have received more than £120,000 in donations.

Festival director Peter Taylor said:
“We are delighted once again to invite charities from across the North West region to be part of TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival. Big or small, national or local, all charities are welcome to apply to be part of our wonderful festival.
“Last year we had more applicants than ever before with 68 charities seeking to be involved. With only five nights of the festival, we can only have five charity partners so if people were unsuccessful last year, we would encourage them to apply again.
“We are very proud to support charity partners each year in Lytham. It’s a great way of fundraising but more than that, it provides charities with a brilliant opportunity to raise their profile and reach tens of thousands of people.”
One of the charities to benefit was year was Lytham’s community recreational facility Park View 4U.
Park Ranger and Education Manager Julie Norman said:
“Being a charity partner was an amazing experience for Park View 4U. As a small, community focused charity, we were thrilled to be associated with such a prestigious event. The festival team were extremely supportive throughout and provided unique opportunities for us to raise our profile, while the festival goers were keen to engage with all our volunteers, enquire how they could get involved and helped us to raise essential funds to maintain our facilities.
“It’s a fantastic event that our volunteers will never forget and we are very grateful to have had this opportunity to help us make a difference in our community.”
