CUPID STUNTS JUST GET BETTER EVERY TIME

Cupid Stunts returned to Paisley’s Bungalow on 21st June and once again proved why they’re one of my favourite and most exciting emerging bands on the local scene. Made up of Lewis Gordan (vocals/guitar), Roe Lowdon (bass), SJ Mellin (guitar/backing vocals) and new drummer Jordan Halliday, the band delivered a show packed with energy, confidence and musical growth.

The new addition of Jordan on drums and SJ’s backing vocals and guitar work, elevated the set massively, adding greater depth to the band’s sound. Their chemistry on stage was clear, with every member working together smoothly. Each time Cupid Stunts perform, they seem to have grown further as musicians, and this show was no exception.

The set featured the debut of four new songs, including ‘Grown Apart’, ‘Face For Radio’, ‘Royal’ and ‘Kill Your Dad’ – ironically played for the first time on Father’s Day, which immediately grabbed the audience’s attention. 

Every time Cupid Stunts play Lewis ventures further away from the stage each time, playing in the crowd with audience members and this time behind the bar!  

The show ended strong and chaotically when Lewis snapped a guitar string while playing his guitar over his head during the final song, bringing an already great set, to a wild finish.
