Over the last two weeks of November, Bad Omens have completed the England and Ireland leg of their ‘DO YOU FEEL LOVE‘ Europe 2025 Tour. Only a couple hundred seated tickets away from selling out the 23, 500 cap venue that is Co-op Live, biggest indoor arena in the UK, the fans really showed up for a fantastic show. For those not familiar with Bad Omens, they are an American heavy metal band formed in 2015, lead singer Noah Sebastian, bassist Nicholas Ruffilo, guitarist Joakim Karlsson and drummer Nick Folio.
Their show was laid out in a very interesting way- 5 tapes broke up the setlist, playing every 3-5 songs, encapsulating the audiences attention to the screens even when there is no music playing. The majority of the setlist consists of songs from their 2022 album ‘THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND‘, of course some of their most popular and well known works, with the rest of the set being from a variety of different albums and releases. All of their new singles were on the set, opening with ‘Specter‘, the first of the now four singles, many fans speculating about a new album coming out in the first half of 2026.
A popular collab with fellow artist Poppy was also played a little after the third tape. This song- ‘V.A.N‘ blew up very quickly on TikTok for the great combination of styles and Noah Sebastian’s iconic ‘bark’. On the topic of collabs, during the song ‘ANYTHING > HUMAN‘, Jonathan Vigil (vocalist of the band ‘The Ghost Inside‘) was brought out on stage for a very fun duet, ideal as they are opening for Bad Omens during this tour.
Finishing off the set, the encore consisted of only one song- ‘Dethrone‘. This song starts off with a chant, singer Noah Sebastian shouting ‘Concrete’ and the audience shouting back ‘Jungle’, speeding up very gradually before it breaks off into a scream and the instrumentals properly come in as the song starts. This was absolutely the best song to end on, the energy was electric and it really got the crowd involved as part of the show.
Overall, I really enjoyed the show. I think they are an extremely talented band with fantastic songwriting and they will definitely go very far with their career. The only thing I had noticed is that there isn’t too much of a stage presence yet; the lighting, setup, pyros and crowd energy is definitely there but there isn’t an awful lot happening on stage. The way that they set up the stage leaves so much empty space that isn’t filled with anything, not a lot of movement or interactions with the audience. I would still say this was a great show, not quite a performance (like Ghost, Bring Me The Horizon or Slipknot), but this is definitely something that could be very easily worked on, with getting used to performing on such a massive stage more and more.
All in all, I would highly recommend seeing Bad Omens live if you get the chance, they are a very talented band and I cannot wait to see how they develop and grow in confidence in the next few years as they get more used to playing on gigantic stages all over the world.
