One of the hottest acts of 2024, English Teacher reached an unprecedented high when they were crowned the winners of this year’s prestigious Mercury Music Prize for their debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’.
The prize has proven to be a game changer for indie four piece who continue to be recognised for their multi-cultural appeal with BBC 6 Music, Radio 1, Radio 2 and Radio X all delivering unique live sessions. They have made appearances across the festival scene from the likes of Glastonbury to TRNSMT this year and expect to be just as active next Summer with Wanderlust, Get Together and Wide Awake Festival already in diary for 2025.
Having just wrapped up their sold out November headline tour, including Glasgow’s QMU Venue show pictures below, English Teacher move into the festive season with even more exciting news rolling out.
