IDLES EXTEND WORLD TOUR WITH ADDITIONAL SHOW AT LIVERPOOL’S M&S BANK ARENA ON THURSDAY 28TH NOVEMBER
After selling out all dates on their upcoming UK and Ireland tour, IDLES have announced a new show at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on Thursday 28th November with support from Lambrini Girls.
Tickets go on general sale at midday on Friday 27th available here.
The concert forms part of ‘Act 1.5 Presents’, a climate action accelerating initiative.
On the event, vocalist Joe Talbot says: “We’re excited to get involved with Act 1.5 and to put on a rock concert show. It’s a first step, and we’re just happy to be able to contribute anything for the cause. These shows are another contribution in pushing the boundaries and we were delighted to be asked to perform. See you all In November.”
Taking the power of love on the road, the new tour dates will see IDLES play to a combined audience of tens of thousands of fans during the new UK and Ireland autumn shows alone, including two sold out nights at London’s prestigious 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace.
Meanwhile, they’re also confirmed to play some of their biggest ever shows in North America, notably with two nights each at the Hollywood Palladium and at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre.
The shows are in celebration of their critically-acclaimed new album, TANGK, of which Joe says, “I needed love. So I made it. I gave love out to the world and it feels like magic. This is our album of gratitude and power. All love songs. All is love.”‘
TANGK’ follows IDLES’ 2021 album ‘CRAWLER’ which became their third successive UK Top 10 set and led to their first two Grammy Award nominations – building upon previous Ivor Novello Award as well as a BRIT and Mercury Prize nomination.
