INTERVIEW | CORELLA SHARE EXCITEMENT FOR THEIR BIGGEST YEAR YET
CORELLA WILL RELEASE ‘ONCE UPON A WEEKEND’ ON MAY 3rd
“Corella set the tone and the bar very high” – BBC Radio 1
Since meeting back in University, Joel (vocals), Jack (guitar), Ben (bass) and James (drums) of rising Manchester band Corella now find themselves at the core of the fast paced Northern indie scene. Having acclaim from BBC Radio 1 and Clash Magazine to name but a few, the four piece are set to unleash their biggest project to date with their forthcoming debut album ‘Once Upon A Weekend‘.
PRE-ORDER ONCE UPON A WEEKEND NOW
Due for release May 3rd, the album launch marks the beginning of what is set to be a jam packed live schedule. Starting off in Dublin on May 2nd, Corella will take their headline tour across the UK and into Europe before returning at the end of the month for a mammoth homecoming at Manchester’s iconic O2 Ritz on May 31st.
The madness doesn’t stop there though as Corella embark on their biggest festival season yet. Starting with appearances at Liverpool’s Sound City and Brightons The Great Escape sandwiched amongst their own May headline tour, the lads have also announced they will join the line up of Tramlines and Truck Festival in July. August will take them to the main stages of some of the UK’s biggest festivals such as Kendall Calling, Hardwick Calling and the biggie, Reading and Leeds!
Confessing to our own Sam Shiner that they are already working on new material AHEAD of the album release, it seems for this Manchester band that things show no sign of slowing down soon.
