Captivating souls across the upcoming Northern music scene, is the the enchanting sounds of Luvcat! And on Friday, the alluring young artist brought her dynamic presence to a sold out Manchester Academy 3.

Hailing from the vibrant streets of Liverpool, Luvcat has already embraced a life of adventure and mischief from a young age. On the eve of her sixteenth birthday, Luvcat claims she ran away to join the whimsical world of a Parisian circus. Here, she would work as a magician’s assistant, weaving between magic and reality, until a tumultuous affair with the ringmaster pushed her to make a daring escape. With a final act that left audiences in awe, she fled on a train cutting across the ocean, landing in the electric heart of London. Drawing inspiration from the hauntingly beautiful works of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, and The Cure, Luvcat began to channel her experiences and the lovers she encountered into evocative songs that tell tales of adventure and romance.

On to the main event and the woman of the moment, Luvcat prepares to thrill her eager Manchester audience. Performing recent favourites ‘Matador’, ‘He’s My Man’ ‘Dinner @ Brasserie Zedel’ and latest release ‘Love & Money’ amongst new music to come, the energy for tonight’s performance was electrifying.
