SELF PROCLAIMED ‘URBAN COWBOY’ SOUL SEARCHES IN NEW SINGLE

Manchester’s self-proclaimed ‘urban cowboy’ Noah Speaks is set to embark on a road that just keeps going up in 2024, as he releases his debut single ‘Seventeen’.

After formerly fronting a band for the past decade, Noah has decided to finally pursue his own solo career – fusing indie, alternative and 80’s synth pop with his undying love for folk to explore human relationships with modern life. Focusing on his own personal experiences and struggles, Seventeen lyrically relates to the widest of audiences with universal emotions inevitable to be felt by everyone. ‘You found love, I found myself.’

Speaking on his debut single – Noah says, ‘Seventeen is about accepting change. It tells a tale of how life changes in the stage of ten years and how we see ourselves differently in our late 20s compared to our teenage years. A lot of these changes are gradual and go unnoticed, but some can happen in the space of a day. Seventeen is about accepting both.’

With a voice as untameable as Noah’s, it can be hard to accompany a softer-sounding, synth-pop instrumentation. However, Noah finds the perfect balance; and in Seventeen creates a track that can not only soundtrack a Sunday morning, feel-good dance in the kitchen or a Summer’s road trip, but can be felt emotionally and really relate and connect to people. Seventeen is beautifully universal in every sense of the word.

Working closely with production duo SugarHouse, Noah Speaks plans to release 3 singles in 2024 as well as bringing his larger-than-life sound to music venues in and around the Greater Manchester area.
