NEW TOUR, NEW EP, NEW TOMMY LEFROY: ON THE RISE INDIE POP ROCK DUO ARE COMING BACK TO THE UK
After supporting former One Direction star Niall Horan on ‘The Show: Live On Tour’ earlier this year, Tommy Lefroy – comprised of the ambitious American-Canadian singer-songwriters Wynter Bethel and Tessa Mouzourakis – had a high bar to reach when making their next musical moves – and it looks like the wait has been worth it. The adored duo recently announced that their third EP, ‘born blue’, will be released 25th October, preceded by a highly anticipated UK and European headline tour (supported by TikTok sensation Katie Gregson-MacLeod) along with a smattering of singles, a couple of which have already been gifted to the eager fans of these indie inspirations.
The first of these singles was the atmospheric, accusatory, angst-filled Garden, released in May of this year and shortly followed in June by Girlhood, Godhood, an artful, cathartic, cymbal-founded expression of the desire to be celebrated as a whole, imperfect self. And, on 12th September, the opening night of their upcoming tour, they’ll be releasing, Let Me, one of the ‘most cathartic tracks’ on the new record to kick it all off.
When they take to the stage, guitars in hand, enchanting voices at the ready, sisterhood oozing from every corner of their stage, Tommy Lefroy captivate their audience in seconds, their ethereal haze washing over the crowd with every harmony and crash of the drums. And there’s no doubt this tour will be one that’s impossible to forget; this is an act you definitely don’t want to miss.
