NEWS – LITTLE SIMZ ANNOUNCES BIGGEST LIVE SHOWS TO DATE

Live and unparalleled, Little Simz today reveals two UK headline arena shows this fall, at Manchester’s Co-op Live on October 16th and London’s The O2 on October 17th, supporting her hugely anticipated sixth studio album, Lotus. Pre-order the new album from the Little Simz official store to receive priority access to tickets on Wednesday, 9th April at 10am via HERE. Tickets go on general sale Friday 11th April at 10am and are available HERE.

Out now on June 6th via AWAL Recordings, Lotus includes the two recently released singles “Free” and “Flood”. After contemplating the dualistic natures of love and fear, “Free” was initially penned as a poem. Love won’t judge you for your pain,” Simz raps over rich beats, the cinematic production being provided by Miles Clinton James. The ominous lead single “Flood”, which brought together two unique voices in Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly, was succeeded by a visionary video from award-winning director Salomon Ligthelm.
Both begin to unveil Lotus’s scope and range, the changing moods transporting the listener on a wide-ranging journey. For Simz, the title itself, Lotus, is one of rebirth and growth, a reflection of her evolving art and the album’s thematic trajectory through the challenges of life.
Little Simz is a cultural curator and visionary artist, hailed as one of the UK’s most innovative and compelling artists. A multi-award winner – Brit Awards, MOBOs, and an Ivor Novello among them – over mixtapes, EPs, and five critically acclaimed albums, Simz’s music charts her story, her path, her becoming – and, in doing so, her generation. 2021 Mercury Music Prize–winning album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert pushed Simz into the UK Official Albums Chart top five, and then followed 2022 surprise album NO THANK YOU, a record both intimately honest and entirely propulsive. In 2023, she continued forging her own path as a highly regarded actress, with a return to the role she played in the Netflix drama Top Boy’s finale season. Little Simz’ 2024 Pyramid Stage Glastonbury set cemented her status as an untouchable live act and one of Britain’s most critically acclaimed artists. Little Simz worldwide streams as a lead artist and guest feature across her discography exceed 1 billion.
The Southbank Centre has revealed Little Simz as the curator of the 30th anniversary of its legendary contemporary music festival, Meltdown. Following a line of past curators that boasts some of the world’s most renowned artists, Simz has programmed an innovative bill for the 11-day festival, which runs from June 12th to 22nd. Artists set to perform include The Streets, Sasha Keable, Lola Young, Ghetts, and Jon Bapiste. Little Simz completes the festival, performing with Southbank Centre Resident Chineke! Orchestra, which sold out within hours.
