NOVA TWINS UNLEASH THEIR INNER ‘MONSTERS’ WITH BRAND NEW SINGLE
Today, Nova Twins make their much anticipated return with brand new music. Receiving its premiere as “Hottest Record In The World” on BBC Radio 1 with Jack Saunders, trailblazing alt-rock duo Nova Twins have unleashed their electrifying new single, Monsters. The track fuses energy and innovation, showcasing the pair’s bold artistic creativity.
Produced by the acclaimed Rich Costey (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Sam Fender, Muse), ‘Monsters‘ is an anthem in the works for a disillusioned generation. The track is everything that fans have come to love and expect from Nova Twins whilst showing continued strength and maturity; all the while taking it up a level.
Speaking on the resonating message of the song, Nova Twins Amy and Georgia explain:
“Monsters is about awakening to and understanding your mental health. Growing up, we often look outward, absorbing what life throws at us. Over time, the good and bad experiences start to settle. Before learning to navigate these feelings, you may face self-loathing, anxiety and a fear of who you’ve become. Confronting these emotions, breathing through them, and opening up to someone can help. Many people struggle with mental health, and this song aims to show vulnerability and let our audience know they’re not alone.”
The accompanying music video was created with long-term collaborator, Harry Lindley and captures the bands inspiring charisma and unmatched energy.
Making their mark at prestigious festivals like Glastonbury and Summer Sonic to sharing the stage with legendary groups such as Foo Fighters, Muse, and Bring Me The Horizon, Nova Twins have emerged as a formidable force in the contemporary music scene over the past few years, transforming the expectations of what women in modern rock can accomplish.
They have been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize [2022]; a historical milestone as the first Black rock band ever to have be shortlisted, nominated twice at the BRIT Awards and won prestigious awards at the Music Week Women in Music Awards, AIM Awards, Kerrang! Awards, and the Nordoff & Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards. Their influence reaches well beyond their songs, through their Voices For The Unheard initiative, they elevate underrepresented artists in the alternative music landscape while advocating for important causes like The Black Curriculum. In 2022, they played a pivotal role in launching the Alternative category at the MOBO Awards and created a Creative Musicianship Scholarship at ICMP to nurture the next generation of diverse talent.
