PALESTINE – YOUR SILENCE IS DEAFENING

We don’t care if we lose followers. We don’t care if people are “sick” of hearing about it. Check your empathy. Check your humanity. Nothing is more important than human life.

Palestinian voices are being silenced. Greta Thunberg, liberal activist darling no longer, is now under fire from the mainstream media for having her voice heard. Kneecap, the Belfast rap crew, were pulled from TRNSMT Festival due to so-called “safety reasons,” but they’re still playing at Glastonbury despite continuing calls for them to be cancelled. The message is loud and clear if you won’t stay quiet on genocide, expect backlash.

Music festivals have ever been havens of revolution, the very places where artists speak out against oppression, where freedom of expression is the law. For generations, stages have been used in the battle for justice systems, the amplified voices of the silenced, and movements born demanding transformation. But here, now, when the word Palestine is spoken, the rules are different. The same festivals that once fought for resistance now bow to censorship, muffling the voices of those who refuse to stay silent.

Activism is smothered under corporate bullying. Protesters are erased, excluded, called troublemakers rather than truth-tellers. The hypocrisy is stunning, an industry built on rebellion now engaged in its suppression. If these festivals really did have faith in freedom of speech, they would uphold it across the board, not selectively. But no, rather, they betray the very ideals they claim to stand for.

They should hang their heads in shame. Free speech is not something that is conditional.

Neutrality is a lie. Silence is complicity. All governments, corporations, and influencers avoiding this conversation are sending a clear message: Palestinian lives aren’t worth it. And when people do speak up? They get punished, censored, erased.

Enough. No more selective activism. No more cowardly evasions. If you have a voice, use it. If you have a platform, amplify the ones getting drowned out.
Sharing isn’t just about sharing it’s about breaking silence, making people aware, and not keeping quiet when there is injustice. Every share is a ripple that defies ignorance and initiates discussions that need to be had. Your voice matters. Make it heard.

There is no excuse anymore. The world is paying attention. History will remember who spoke and who kept quiet.
