Nobody Likes Me, with its defiant lyrical mantra, is a deliciously infectious slab of disco pop. It is the third earworm to be released from the forthcoming album PREGOBLIN II, which is coming on 23rd February 2024. Previous singles from the album include These Hands AKA Danny Knife featuring Peter Doherty and Big Hitters featuring Armand Schaubroeck
“I was working on my new album at the end of last year when PREGOBLIN asked me if I wanted to mess around with their song. I gave it a listen and knew I could make it hit really hard, so that’s what I did!”

“Recently I was caring for my mum, in the last few months of her life, and this video kind of fits with that experience. My friend Vicki Knight is a nurse at a local care home and she gave me the idea. I would see Vicki at the pub between visiting with my mum.”
Alex Selby (PREGOBLIN)
The video for Nobody Likes Me was directed and filmed by Alex Sebley, Phoebe May Ford & Sophie at Coppin at Cheybassa Lodge (Rest Home), Hayling Island, Portsmouth.
Packed with sublime melodies and unforgettable tragi-comic lyricism, PREGOBLIN II was recorded in Brixton and Margate and can be preordered on vinyl and CD here: PREGOBLIN II
Having toured with Peter Doherty and recently sold out their own headline shows at the Windmill in London and Left of the Dial Festival in Rotterdam, PREGOBLIN joined The Libertines in Milton Keynes on the eve on the rework release on Thursday 25th January. In addition to this, PREGOBLIN support Dutch 3-piece Pip Blom, Rotterdam multi instrumentalist Harry Merry and also perform at Simple Things festival in Bristol.

The creative journey to this point has been labyrinthine and frequently painful. As far back as the early ’10s, Sebley was registering his embryonic talent alongside Lias and Nathan Saoudi in The Saudis, the chaotic pre-Fat White Family ensemble where he played guitar and co-authored raw, post-punk material including FWF’s breakthrough tune ‘Touch The Leather,’ before departing the band just as its ascent began.
PREGOBLIN II is a strange name for a debut album. For the artist who created it, Alex Sebley aka PREGOBLIN, its astonishingly heartfelt and brilliantly catchy assemblage of songs is the culmination of a tortuous genesis period. Its release finally, he hopes, will usher in a fresh, more positive chapter for him, a sequel to all the misery and bullshit up to this point – hence the title.
