At the weekend, we went down to Manchester’s Co-op Live arena to capture Britpop icon Richard Ashcroft take the stage. The show was the first of his UK solo tour off the back of his latest album “Lovin’ You” in his adopted hometown of Manchester. Across 2025, Ashcroft has been on the road with Oasis for their reunion tour, and will join them again for their final two shows in Brazil as their tour comes to a close.

The former Verve frontman performed a range of music from all across his discography, from his newly released songs, solo hits and well-known The Verve tunes such as “Sonnet” and “Bittersweet Symphony” in which he dedicated to Manc legend Ricky Hatton.

The Lathums

Supporting Richard Ashcroft was fellow Wigan band The Lathums, with their upcoming final headlining shows of 2025 at the Olympia in Liverpool and the Maassilo in the Netherlands. The indie bands most recent album “Matter Does Not Define” has been at the centre of their live shows this year after placing at No.3 on the Official Charts in March.
