SAM FENDER ANNOUNCES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ‘PEOPLE WATCHING’ ARENA TOUR

It’s been a long wait for Sam Fender fans but the Geordie icon has today announced his highly anticipated arena tour for December 2024. The seven-date run commences in Dublin in six weeks on 2nd December at the 3Arena, concluding on 20th December at the Utilita Arena back in Newcastle. The tour also calls in Leeds, Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Glasgow.

Fender will be performing in London for the first time since taking centre stage at Finsbury Park in the summer of 2022 when he returns to the city at the O2 Arena. Since those dates, Sam Fender has headlined Reading & Leeds Festival in 2023, and Boardmasters earlier this Summer.

The announcement of the tour comes after Sam Fender hinted at the release date of his new track, ‘People Watching,’ and advised fans to “get ready” for new details in the not too distant future. After posting teasers of new songs online earlier this month, the singer-songwriter announced that his third studio album was complete. Additionally, Fender uploaded a live version of ‘People Watching,’ a song he had previously performed at a Plymouth performance and again as the summertime headlining act for Boardmasters.

Next Spring, Fender headlines European shows in Paris, Tilburg, Zurich, Cologne, Bergamo, Berlin, and wrapping up at the Forest National arena in Brussels. Tickets for all shows go on sale from 25th October at 10am via SAM FENDER . Due to the expected high demand, tickets for the Newcastle Utilita show on Friday December 20th will be available by ballot to customers with North-East postcodes only. He’s been a champion for supporting the upcoming music scene, so it comes as no surprise that £1 from every ticket sold for the UK dates will be donated to the Music Venue Trust in support of grassroots venues. Additionally, upcoming indie icons, Wunderhorse, will provide support for Fender across the December leg of the tour.

Sam Fender has been in the studio working on the follow up to 2021’s critically acclaimed number 1, and BRIT Award winning second album, ‘Seventeen Going Under’.
