Alternative rock legends Soul Asylum are on an extensive tour in support of their 13th record, 2004’s Slowly But Shirley. The Minnieapolis quartet are playing two full-band shows here in the UK, on Monday 8th June at Gorilla in Manchester, and on Tuesday 9th June at The Dome in London.

The group achieved mainstream success with 1993’s GRAMMY award wining hit single Runaway Train, and have toured with their contemporaries Oasis and The Cure. Over their expansive 4 decade plus history, Soul Asylum have become known worldwide for their guitar laden, high-energy songs that still pull on the heartstrings.

There’s a part of me that’s never gonna fit in, but I love being around people who love music, and I’m
very loyal to the idea of whatever Soul Asylum is,
” says Soul Asylum frontperson Dave Pirner. “The future is bright, everything is good, and if there’s something in the music that can make people feel like things are gonna be OK, then it’s mission accomplished.

On support for the two shows is UK’s own James Brute, songwriter and former frontman of the East London band The Brute Chorus. His debut solo album is due out this Autumn.

Tickets are still available for both shows here:
Manchester – Gorilla – 8th June
London – The Dome – 9th June
