SPORTS TEAM ANNOUNCE ALBUM INSTORES WITH NEW SINGLE ‘MAYBE WHEN WE’RE 30’

SPORTS TEAM have today released their latest single from their upcoming new album Boys These Day – set for release on May 23rd . The track ‘Maybe When We’re 30’ was written as a sarcastic but sincere ode to settling down, unveiling a fresh side of Sports Team, following their previous Western themed single ‘Bang Bang Bang’. Described as a cross between Pulp and The National, the band have crafted pure euphoria, like nothing they have done before.
Lyricist Rob Knaggs shares:
“It’s a song for Brooklyn Beckham. When you start off in a band you feel like Slurms Mackenzie (the Futurama party slug). You can’t believe it’s your job to travel around the world and drink beer and make music with your friends. And then one morning you look around, and all your friends are getting married, and you think, maybe all I really want is to grow old, and get a dog, and write horrible things about Brooklyn Beckham on Facebook, and go on cruises, and have petty disputes with my neighbours about whether the council recycles cardboard.”
Sports Team also share a self directed video for the song –
