‘STAR-DESTINED’ ALESSI ROSE RELEASES NEW EP ‘FOR YOUR VALIDATION’

Alessi Rose is a star-destined artist, and 2025 is her year. She’s created a voice for a generation of self proclaimed ‘delusional’ teenage girls. With the release of her second EP ‘for your validation’, Alessi Rose has the potential to become one of the largest pop artists in the years to come. She is an all-round exceptionally gifted artist, that more people should be talking about than they presently are.

Pop music is ever evolving. The world is hungry for the kind of genuine joy that Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX have introduced us to. Alessi Rose, is on her way to dominate the fun, flirty and ultimately chaotic pop music scene.

A second release is always associated with the stigma that it can fall short of the expectations that fans have of the initial release. Within the first few chords of the EP’s first track, ‘oh my,’ Alessi Rose swiftly dispels any misgivings. The moving lyrics eloquently capture the experience of loving someone that develops into an unhealthy relationship, leaving one feeling frustrated and emotionally unfulfilled.

Despite the song’s light-hearted and cheerful melody, the lyrics of ‘start all over’ are utterly heart-breaking given that they narrate the constant need for the other person in a relationship to establish a romantic connection. From the beginning, Alessi Rose takes the lead and transports us with a poignant plot and heavenly voice. As the song develops, a foot-tapping drum pattern appears in the middle, giving the song fresh vitality.

To put it simply, ‘IKYK,’ one of the EP’s few previously unreleased tracks, is a pop anthem. Rose raises her vocals to a level we haven’t heard from her previously, backed by a powerful drum rhythm and guitar chords. This track in particular carries tones of the iconic 2000’s pop scene. One EP at a time, Alessi Rose is reviving the lively, flirtatious, and wild pop genre.

The calm and gentle quality of the indie-pop tune ‘imsochillandcool’ blends in well with the sound and aesthetic of this EP. It is a self-reflective tribute to the sensation of someone you were once involved with moving on. Many listeners will be able to relate to the track’s anxious energy on a very intimate level. That’s what makes Alessi Rose so unique; she conveys such humility and wit in her lyrics, which instantly makes her songs popular.

‘pretty world,’ a contemplative single, is an anthem against imposter syndrome. Rose gave the vocals on this song her whole heart and soul; this is Alessi Rose at her most vulnerable. This extremely intense track reveals her innermost thoughts and feelings through lyrics. She approaches lyrical themes in a refreshingly straightforward manner.

‘don’t ask questions’ is the final track on this incredible six-track EP. Alessi Rose explores her inner monologue—an argument against her emotions and head—through her lyrics. The track examines the stage in a relationship where you’re searching for answers you might not desire. Although it ends the EP on a rather sombre note, it gives away that there is much more to learn and that the story hasn’t ended.

The amount of individuality and ambition that Alessi Rose has packed into her second EP is astounding. Alessi Rose is the epitome of perfection for a pop musician. She is a powerhouse to be confronted with and an artist who commands your full focus.
