Sziget Festival, in the heart of Budapest, Hungary has announced it’s lineup for 2026. The festival is set to run from 11-15th August on ‘Óbuda Island‘. Earlier this year, Sziget had a very uncertain future due to financial struggles with putting on such a big festival and the withdrawal from investors, however founder Károly Gerendai has found new investors and has reportedly confirmed that there are no longer any concerns about the continuation of the festival!!
Next year, the headliners will be Florence + The Machine, Lewis Capaldi, Twenty One Pilots and quickly growing singer Sombr. The headliners are definitely expected in a way, Florence + The Machine and Lewis Capaldi both touring in the UK/EU in the year leading up to the festival and have both been announced for many festivals next year. Twenty One Pilots, although very unfortunately not doing a tour outside of the US for their latest album ‘Breach‘, have definitely not been shy with booking festivals around Europe for 2026- 15 announced so far!! Sombr was the artist I was most shocked by, he has grown a massive following on social media over the past year or two and has been selling out bigger and bigger venues during his tours. This being said I wasn’t expecting to hear that he is headlining a festival as big as Sziget, though I am very excited to see how it goes.
The next set of big artists that are on the announcement are: Ashnikko, Bbno$, Biffy Clyro, Dijon, Dom Dolla, Indira Paganotto, Tash Sultana, TOMORA and Underworld. A really great array of big names from all over the world, you’re able to check where the biggest names on the line-up are from here! The rest of the acts (in alphabetical order) are ALT BLK ERA, ANNA, Antony Szmierek, Baby Lasagna, Bad Nerves, BIIA, Brooke Combe, Cassia, Charlotte Cardin, DE’WAYNE, Elefánt, Giant Rooks, Jazzy, Joris Voorn, Karen Dió, Kim Dracula, Lambrini Girls, Makrohang, Oskar Med K, Pan-Pot, Paris Paloma, Sim0ne, Sisi, Ski Aggu and Zimmer 90.
As always, Sziget Festival is known for more than just musical performances. Over this 5 day festival, there will be an incredible range of circus, theatre and ‘performing arts’ acts for attendees to look forward to! Tamás Kádár (CEO) has confirmed that this line-up is only the beginning and that there are many more acts to come!
