Tamino (Abi Chilton/Northern Exposure)

Last weekend we headed along to New Century in Manchester, to capture the amazingly talented Belgian indie-alternative artist Tamino, who has been out performing his newly released 2025 album Every Dawn’s A Mountain across his EU/UK tour. Inspired by his Arabic heritage, Tamino has is the grandson of the famous Egyptian singer/actor Muharram Fouad and has worked with the likes of Mitski on multiple works and tours.

Opening his show with a silhouette spot light and ominous strings, the crowd was entirely silent and emotional. A prime example of the slow burn, Tamino balances forlorn, soaring falsetto vocals with grand, atmospheric instrumental backings.

Supporting these run of dates is American indie-folk artist Searows, otherwise known as Alec Duckman. The singer rose to fame with his acoustic covers of artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Samia on Tiktok and has recently announced their sophomore album Death In The Business Of Whaling to be released in January of 2026.
