It may have been a chilly Tuesday night, but in the heart of Cabot Circus, Bristol‘s recently revamped Electric was just getting warm.
Supported by Overpass, The Amazons began a long-awaited UK tour. After the success of their recent album, ’21st Century Fiction’, the band still had nerves heading into this tour, but Bristol ensured they were settled on day one.
Overpass are quickly becoming established names on the scene. Directly after their EU and UK tour headlining smaller venues such as Exeter’s Cavern, and Norwich’s Waterfront, majority of which were sellouts, they hopped into this support slot with The Amazons. They’ve recently supported Wunderhorse and Supergrass, and will be supporting The Wombats on their massive arena tour in December this year!
The Amazons have this incredible stage presence about them. There’s something about the way they just own the stage, it’s an incredible show. Their production for this tour is one of the prettiest they’ve had, but it’s plain and simple, containing some bulb string lights, a plain white sheet as the backdrop, but it encapsulates the total vibe of their nature. Don’t miss them if they’re coming to a show near you – it’s one hell of a performance that will leave you jaw-dropped.
