Last week at London’s O2 Academy Islington, The Dead Collective proved exactly why this “next chapter” is frontman Oli Brown‘s most compelling yet. Moving far beyond his blues-prodigy origins and the energy of his previous project RavenEye, the band delivered a set that was atmospheric, heavy, yet keeping relatable personal personal touch.

Accompanied by guitarist Sam Wood and drummer Wayne Proctor, the trio filled the room with a massive, cinematic wall of sound. Blending technical brilliance with passion, the set seamlessly bridged the gap between Brown’s bluesy roots and more gritty, modern rock sound.

Opening with ‘Sinking Ship‘ and ‘Heard It All Before‘ from 2023’s Prelude EP, the setlist took fans on a comprehensive journey of The Dead Collective so far. Latest singles ‘Cracks‘ and the just released ‘Goliath‘ were welcomed just as wildly as the massive fan-favourites ‘Haunted‘ and ‘Everything You Want‘, yet sat comfortably alongside the warmer, ballad numbers ‘Home Sweet Home‘ and ‘Your Love‘. With their brand new self-titled EP set for release later next month, it is evident that The Dead Collective’s trajectory will continue to rise.

If you missed the London show, catch them on the remainder of their UK tour which lands in Glasgow, Blackpool, Birmingham and Chester this week – tickets are on sale now!

The new EP from The Dead Collective is out May 22nd and you can pre-order exclusive copies of it on their store right now.
