THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN CELEBRATE 40 YEARS WITH NEW ALBUM & UK TOUR
THE SCOTTISH DUO TO PLAY TWO NIGHTS IN MANCHESTER
Previously announced date on the 22nd of March is now sold out and 23rd of March is on sale now!
One of the most influential bands of their generation and beyond, Scottish duo The Jesus and Mary Chain have shared news of a UK tour to celebrate their 40th anniversary, which includes a welcome return to Manchester’s Albert Hall – having last performed two SOLD OUT nights at the venue in 2021!
GLASGOW EYES
Alongside the tour, they’re set to release the new album, Glasgow Eyes, incoming on the 8th of March – this is the band’s first studio album since Damage And Joy in 2017. 2024 promises to be a bumper year for devotees of the Reids: the brothers will also unveil their autobiography, a documentary, and more to come!
The new album was recorded in Mogwai’s studio ‘Castle of Doom’ in Glasgow, and the pair “quite liked the idea of a title that suggested that we were kind of returning home to where it all started,” says Jim.
It’s a welcome return too, as we see them celebrate four decades doing what they do best -representing the outsider, the misfit, the ‘never understood’ all while being one of the great pop /alt rock acts in British music history.
