‘The Balla’ – as unforgivably Scouse as it may sound – have brought a swagger that stretches beyond the Mersey in their latest single ‘Paris’. The Liverpudlian quartet have already pricked the ears of This Feeling with a spot at their ‘Big In 2026’ and have clearly set their mark on making this year, theirs.

A razor down the red curtain splitting into rugged and brooding guitars, the cowboy steps into the saloon, filled with all the arrogance you’d expect from an indie four piece. The track bestows the kind of suave nonchalance of a swirling drink over at the bar. It’s cock-sure – for sure, but who doesn’t want to be?

Feel the vibrance as soon as we land, watch the crowd hold our hands“, it’s rhyme zone by numbers but empathy inducing, boots on becoming the Merseyside cowboy. An envisionment piece fuelled with filth and the hopings of maybe – or as ‘The Balla’ assure themselves of, definitely – a humbled rumbling ready for its’ take off.

Just short of three minutes but enough to assure faith in the future of The Balla.  If the bands sold-out This Feeling show at The Jacaranda, Liverpool next month has you feeling like you’re missing out,  there’s still time to grab a free ticket to their show at The Ramp, Horwich in April.
