‘NUFF SAID’: EAST COAST EASYCORE BAND ‘HOMEBASE’ RETURN TO PUT THEIR STAMP ON 2026
SINGLE REVIEW | HOMEBASE – NUFF SAID by Craig Harston
Following on from their first single towards the end of 2025 (the frantic and catchy ‘Bold’), heavy pop punk/hardcore band Homebase are back to make their mark on the punk rock calendar in 2026 with their second song, ‘Nuff Said’, and it might be even better than their first!
Forming in 2023, the New Jersey/New York based five-piece quickly made their mark on the local live scene with their high energy performances. ‘Nuff Said’ captures that energy and finds the band once again wearing their hearts on their sleeves, something that is becoming a mainstay within their song writing. Here, it finds them reflecting on self doubt, the creative pressure of being a new band and finding their place within the punk rock scene.
Kicking off with some fairly abrasive guitars, it leads into a great riff and ramps up from there with some excellent dual vocals from singers Antonio Valentino and Matt Valentin (the dual vocals bringing to mind fellow New Jersey pop punk band Midtown) and thunderous drums. The song captures plenty of old school punk energy, catchy hooks and features a fantastic breakdown towards the end – beginning with the powerful refrain “If this is all that I got, I’ll see it through”, it segues into some seriously heavy guitars which power the song to it’s conclusion.
“Out of all the songs we have written, I believe ‘Nuff Said’ is the core of what we wanted to accomplish in our songwriting,” says Valentino. “The lyrics reflect our work ethic as a new band, especially in the midst of inadequacy that constantly nagged at us. That mindset can really damage how you view yourself—music becomes less inspiring, friendships feel strained, and even congratulating others can feel twisted. This song was our chance to confront those feelings head-on. It’s not about who you are that defines you—it’s about what you do. We love the hype it brings, and we couldn’t be more proud to finally share it.”

So, off the back of ‘Nuff Said’, Homebase are off to a great 2026, with hopefully more great things to come. With their DIY aesthetic, crunching riffs, heartfelt lyrics and relentless energy, they’re certainly going to be one to watch! We can only assume they’re not named after the now-defunct UK based DIY shop Homebase…
