ARCTANGENT FESTIVAL UNVEILS LATEST LINE-UP ADDITIONS
The much-loved and award winning ArcTanGent Festival returns this summer, and can today announce a whole raft of new acts for the event. Taking place between the 19th and 22nd August at Fernhill Farm near Bristol, the festival is a globally celebrated musical melting pot of rock, metal, doom, psych, math rock, post rock, folk rock, avant-garde and much much more.
Kicking todays new announcement off are the VERY recently reformed and returned Arcane Roots, who only this week released their first new music in over 7 years (with single ‘A Wave. Across The Sea’), announced a singing to Big Scary Monsters, AND as a live exclusive, slots on both 2000trees Festival and ArcTanGent Festival. One of the most requested bands in ATG history, their main stage set and slot will be a defining moment in this years event.
Joining them will be incredibly exciting experimental rock band from Manchester, Maruja, who performed at ATG in 2024 as a brand new band. They now return as one of the most talked about bands in the country, and rightly so. Also added are the magnificent Nordic Giants, who blend their stunning post rock sounds with incredible visuals to make for a totally unique and breathtaking experience. Others include US shoe-gaze rock band Nothing, Faroesean singer songwriter Eivør as a UK 2026 exclusive, the rock and roll gentleman and scholar Jamie Lenman, the enigmatic multi instrumentalist Master Boot Record, visceral London math-core band Pupil Slicer and Brazilian avant-garde metal band Papanugu.

Speaking of the new additions to the ArcTanGent Festival, organiser James Scarlett says –
“ArcTanGent 2026 is officially our best-selling edition of the festival by a country mile, and we are absolutely buzzing to be adding another huge wave of artists for the festival. In particular, bands like EIVØR, Nothing and Master Boot Record, who are joining us at the festival for the very first time. One of the best parts of booking a festival is also to be able to have some artists return significantly bigger than the last time they played. The likes of Maruja and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs have well and truly sped through the ranks and both are not to be missed this year after playing much lower down the bill only a few years ago. All this without mentioning the return of the mighty Arcane Roots – to have them returning after over 7 years, exclusively for our festivals, is a truly special moment.”
These newly announced, incredible acts and artists add to an already stacked, already announced line up that includes the three main stage headliners, Chelsea Wolfe, Primus and Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas (performing ‘Mariner’), as well as the likes of Igorrr, Sikth, Napalm Death, Pertubator, High On Fire, Chat Pile, Alcest, Oathbreaker, Agent Fresco, TTNG, Svalbard, Conjurer, Heck, Alpha Male Tea Party and many more
