Arlo Parks has announced her biggest tour to date: The Desire Tour. Over five months, she’s taking her third record (Ambiguous Desire) worldwide across the UK, Europe and North America.

Ambiguous Desire, which was released on April 3rd, is a sonic departure from My Soft Machine, which entered the UK at #10, and the Mercury-Prize-winning Collapsed In Sunbeams. The record is already receiving critical applause for its blend of introspection, playfulness and liberation.

The record is deeply inspired by dance music and New York City, and sees Parks at her most confident.

Speaking about the album in the press, she explained: “This record has desire at its centre. Desire is a life force; it’s a wanting, a yearning, a momentum – we are all alive because there is something or someone we want. Desire is an engine. But it is also mysterious, tangled, random, enlightening and HUMAN.”

Arlo Parks is currently on a run of intimate UK shows to celebrate the album release, which sees her playing in London, Leeds, Nottingham, Brighton, Oxford and Southampton. Her headline tour includes a long-overdue appearance at O2 Academy Brixton, having already ticked off Eventim Apollo and O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
