EIGHT EMERGING ARTISTS FACE PUBLIC VOTE FOR FINAL

BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year returns for 2024, bringing with it a fresh influx of talent currently making waves across the local scene and beyond.

Taking place on Wednesday 27th March in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre, the grand finale will see BBC Radio Scotland Introducing presenters Phoebe I-H and Shareen Cutkelvin present the winner with the prestige prize in front of a live audience. The prize – which not only recognises the winners outstanding talent – awards the champion with two BBC Radio Scotland recording sessions, a slot at this years TRNSMT festival and a bespoke PR campaign.

Hundreds of entries have been scrutinised and now just eight shortlisted artists have been put forward for a public vote OPEN NOW.

Only four of the eight shortlisted artists will make it to the BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year finale where they will be subjected to the industry led judging panel. This year, the judges have been announced as Sam McTrusty (Twin Atlantic), Jess Iszatt (Radio 1), Ross Leighton (Fatherson) and 2022 winner Bemz (rapper).
