LIVE REVIEW | BLACK VEIL BRIDES | ARTS CLUB, LIVERPOOL | 16th June 2026 by Nora Toth

Only last week, Black Veil Brides were playing on main (Apex) stage at Download Festival to a sea of eager fans and festival-goers. Not even the fact that it was a mid-day set could stop massive crowds from forming, many fans doing a full cosplay of singer Andy Biersack‘s 2010s ‘Andy Sixx’ make-up, which is still popular in their fandom to this date.

Off of the release of their latest album- VINDICATE – Black Veil Brides have been doing a short run of intimate venues around the UK and Europe before circling back around for their recently announced headline tour in January 2027. Earlier this week they stopped off in Liverpool at a completely sold out Arts Club, cramming the intimate venue to the max with die-hard fans who spent the entire time screaming along to every word.

As far as intimate shows go, this was one of the best I have ever attended. Not only did the band play a really cohesive and great mix of new and old songs, there was intensive crowd interaction between almost every single song. These interactions ranged from jokes about Batman, inside jokes, and favourite songs to perform, to stories about how famous artists had called them certain slurs earlier in their career. There was never a moment the crowd wasn’t involved; shouting out questions, holding up signs, and holding up questions on phones. Frontman Andy Biersack did his best to cycle through everyones questions, while completing the set before the venue curfew. Even bringing a woman up on stage after she asked if she can go up!

The setlist started off very strongly with a classic ‘Knifes and Pens‘, before a short run of songs off of their new album: ‘Bleeders‘, ‘Hallelujah‘, ‘Vindicate‘ and ‘Certainty‘. A quick blast to the past with ‘Rebel Love Song‘ and ‘Wake Up‘ ensued before ‘Revenger‘, a song off of their new album featuring Machine Head. Nearing the end of their set, they played exclusively older bangers ‘Saviour‘, ‘Sweet Blasphemy‘, ‘Faithless‘ and ‘The Legacy‘, before finishing on the song that gave them their initial massive boost ‘In the End‘.

This show was absolutely fantastic, they sounded incredible and the banter with the audience was so hilarious, you could tell it was a very tightly knit community. I could not recommend going to see them, if you can, enough. Even if you don’t know much about them you will come out of the show with most of the songs stuck in your head for days!!
