EUROVISION, CIAN DUCROT AND DREAM LINE-UPS: ARE REMEMBER MONDAY READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP?
INTERVIEW | REMEMBER MONDAY by Anne Kelly
From making it to the knockout stages of The Voice UK to the finals of Eurovision 2025, Hampshire’s Remember Monday are continuing on their quest to be the UK’s biggest girl group of the moment.
Coming 19th (out of 26) in the overall Eurovision contest rankings, the band haven’t been discouraged by their experience and this month have released their second single since the competition with ‘More Than Ever‘. Recently embarking on a whopping 17 date UK tour, Remember Monday are set to perform to some of their biggest crowds to date throughout the month.
We caught up with the trio – Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele – to chat about Eurovision, the tour and new music still to come.
Congratulations on your brand new single ‘More Than Ever‘, what was the idea behind this track?
We have been together for nearly 14 years, and have never ever written a love song, so we went into the studio that day and decided it was time to give it a go haha!
What do you hope fans take away from the message?
What we hope feels quite relatable about More Than Ever is that even though it is a love song, it feels quite uncertain and vulnerable, which is how we often experience love. It’s about not being sure if it’ll be forever, but deciding to take the risk anyways, which is actually super romantic in itself!
Written with Cian Ducrot, how did that collaboration come about? What do you think Cian’s involvement brings to the finished single?
We’ve been a fan of Cian for a long time, and reached out to him when we were writing songs for Eurovision. His input on this track was so important, we’re so grateful to be able to work with him, and now call him a friend. He’s an incredible talent!

Your harmonies are a signature part of your sound. Can you tell us a little bit about your creative process for a new song—how do the melody, lyrics, and harmonies come together?
To be honest it really differs with every song! Often we’ll start with a concept or idea, or maybe a song title, and then play around with finding a hooky melody. We’ve been together for such a long time that we know where each of our voices sit best, so when we’re writing we try to find those sweet spots melodically.
Lyrically, we love for our humour and character to come through. What we love so much about other artists is when you can really see their personality in their writing, and recognising that individuality is what often makes people relate to or see themselves in your music. So essentially – being ourselves is extremely important to us hahah!
We can’t not talk about Eurovision though! Now that you have had time to process the whole thing, what’s the biggest thing you took away from the experience?
We honestly feel so grateful for that whole time of our lives – it taught us so much about our own showmanship, and opened so many doors for us in the industry. We say it a lot, but it’s still the best thing we’ve ever done in our whole lives!
It wasn’t your first time going up against the judges though, following from your time on The Voice many years ago.
How did you find being back in a competitive environment? How did the two experiences compare?
We truly didn’t see Eurovision as a competition! We never went into the experience thinking “this will only feel successful if we win it” (thank god), so actually the two experiences didn’t feel that similar? The Voice felt much more “competitive” but actually we entered both experiences with just the goal of reaching a wider audience, and hopefully getting the chance to connect with new people! And we feel super lucky that we actually feel like both experiences were very successful in that regard.
Participating in Eurovision must have brought significant attention to the group. Do you have any tips or self-care practices that help you remain grounded?
We’ve always had the best people around us, and think that is one of the most important things for anyone in this industry! We feel super lucky that our business/work/band life comes with two best friends that have known each other since we were basically kids. So we’re able to do a fair amount of reigning each other in if needed hahaha!
With your biggest UK headline tour starting this week, what can fans expect from the show? Are there any particular cities or venues you are looking forward to playing?
We’re going to so many cities we’ve never played in before so we’re SO excited for those! But also excited to revisit a few of our favourite cities like Glasgow, Manchester and Cardiff, and of COURSE London – we’re playing our biggest ever headline show at the iconic Shepherd’s Bush Empire which we could not be more excited/nervous about haha!
What can you tell us about your 2026 plans?
We don’t wanna give too much away but we will say we have been writing a LOT. And we have a LOT of great stuff that we would love for you all to hear…
Finally, you can create a line up exclusively of former Eurovision entrants, who are you putting on that bill? You can choose up to 5 artists…
Oh my goodness… ABBA, Sam Ryder, Celine Dion, Conchita Wurst, Loreen… and us if we’re allowed to participate too, we’ll be the opening act hahaha!
