The Fray (Ainsley Taylor/Northern Exposure)

THE FRAY | SWG3 GALVANISERS, GLASGOW | 15th November 2025 by Ainsley Taylor

The Fray brought their How to Save a Life: The 20th Anniversary Tour to a packed SWG3 Galvanisers in Glasgow last night, delivering a heartfelt evening of emotional alt-rock spanning their two-decade career. With founding member Joe King now stepping up for lead vocals following the departure of Isaac Slade, the Colarado band successfully balanced nostalgic reverence for their iconic debut with a fresh, raw energy.

The setlist was, predictably, heavy on classics from How to Save a Life with King’s distinct, slightly grittier vocal style offering a fresh perspective on these familiar songs. While the emotional high points were rooted in the nostalgia, the inclusion of newer tracks and deeper cuts proved The Fray are looking to the future too. The show was a successful testament to the timelessness of their early material, confirming that even with a change in lineup, the band’s core ability to connect with an audience through powerful, relatable songs remains fully intact.

The tour will continue throughout the UK and Ireland this month, with remaining tickets available here.
