Dreamy English-American indie-pop band Sunday (1994), recently graced Glasgow’s Oran Mor on their biggest UK tour yet. With the captivating Paige Turner on lead vocals, alongside guitarist Lee Newell and their enigmatic drummer known only as ‘X’, the line-up were completed by Mistine, who takes on the role of bassist.

The atmosphere was electric as the band took the stage, with Paige Turner donning a beautifully flowing silk dress enhancing her ethereal presence, creating a sense of whimsy that captivated the audience from the very first note. Throughout the performance, Sunday (1994) made a concerted effort to engage with the crowd, fostering a sense of connection that felt genuine and heartfelt. Unlike many live shows where interactions can feel rehearsed, the band’s approach was refreshingly spontaneous, inviting fans to sing along and dance freely.

Highlights of the evening came from their latest EP, Devotion, including ‘Doomsday and ‘Still Blue’, which had the audience in a trance. The combination of their enchanting melodies and the intimate atmosphere made for a memorable night, leaving everybody eager for more.
