JASON DERULO TAKES HIS ‘LAST DANCE’ AT CO-OP LIVE
LIVE REVIEW | JASON DERULO | CO-OP LIVE, Manchester | 7th February 2026 by Jenna Laband
Last Saturday, Jason Derulo‘s “Last Dance” tour took on Manchester’s Co-op Live. Said to be the beginning of the end of Derulo as we know him, his ‘Last Dance’ had the audience captivated from start to finish. The R&B pop icon had the crowd on their feet from the first second of his 1-minute countdown to kick off the show. A video VT accompanied by onstage dancers welcomed Derulo onto the stage as his silhouette shot into view.
After an incredible dance and acting sequence, the lights lifted to reveal Derulo singing “Sexy For Me”, one of the tracks on his latest album. Despite only being released 2 weeks prior, the crowd went crazy, singing along to every word. Hit tracks “Wiggle” and “Acapulco” then brought the energy up before “Watcha Say” took us back to the beginning of Derulo’s career, guiding the crowd into a setlist of hit tracks from the past 17 years.
The 2010s pop icon brought hit after hit to the stage, with constant set changes and non-stop performing and dancing. Despite backlash from his earlier shows of speculated lip syncing, Jason continues to deliver a phenomenal show, which showcases his singing, dancing and overall showmanship. Not to mention his incredible team of dancers who truly made the show a spectacle. The energy and choreography were truly unmatched by any other show I have been to, and in true Jason style, exceeded the expectations of everyone in the room.
Constant changes of outfits, set and stage kept the nearly 2-hour set fresh and engaging for the audience, allowing them to completely get lost in the world of Jason Derulo as they know him. “Riding Solo”, “Take You Dancing”, and TikTok sensation “Savage Love” reminded fans of the true collection of generational bangers that lies in Derulo’s discography.
Closing the show with “Trumpets“, “Talk Dirty”, and “Want To Want Me”, Derulo left a lasting impression on the adoring crowd. Having established himself as one of the true music icons of the generation, his nostalgic tracks bring both young and old fans together as they reminisce on these hit singles and the time in their lives they symbolise.
With this being a supposed end to the Jason Derulo we know and love, fans truly took in the atmosphere for one last dance. Missed out on the tour so far and want to catch Jason before it’s too late? Find upcoming EU dates here!
